Gluten free foods can definitely be organic. Did you know organic foods are are grown naturally. They are not exposed to pesticides and fertilizers. These foods are not exposed to additives, and industrial solvents.
This is the same for alot of products. Do you realize that some Gluten sensitive people must have gluten free products as well, such as shampoos, conditioners, facial cleaners, toothpastes, cosemetics? Why? Because these products could get on their lips or in their mouth, and the slightest amount could cause a reaction. This is especially true for Celiac sufferers.
Chemicals and fertilizers have been used in your food and all other products you use on your body and in your home. This is how they keep the shelf life (not to mention, how long it was sitting in the warehouses before that!!) and how they make it smell so great!
And keep in mind to be Organic......the government legislation only insists that they have 5% Organic material in the product. The rest can be chemicals.
So now to find Organic Gluten Free.......
Organic farming is now an agricultural specialty brought on by the corporations using pesticides and fertilizers for quick harvests.
You can find organic farming of fruits, vegetables, as well as coffee, spices, seeds, nuts, oils, homeopathic medications/supplements, and even some building materials using hemp.
What is gluten?
Gluten is a wheat based stick protein that is often used as a thickening agent. It is used in breads, pastries, spices, cosmetics and other products to thicken and prevent clumping.
A gluten free diet is advised if you have celiac disease. When you are unable to digest gluten, you could be celiac or gluten sensitive.
Most people don't have a problem eating gluten rich foods. But some people are sensitive to gluten. These people don’t just experience digestive problems. They experience brain fog, memory loss, fatigue, diverticulitis, rashes or bumps on the skin, depression. or become lactose intolerant. Gluten can be the cause of many auto immune diseases.
There is a lot of misinformation about gluten free products being organic. Gluten free means that there no traces of gluten. It does not mean they are organic. Tthey can be organic, but it is not mandatory.
Many people assume that gluten free products are organic. It is not. You can have Organic......you can have Gluten Free........and you can have Organic Gluten Free. Beware of what you are purchasing!!!!
Don't believe the hype! Like everything rumors travel fast...just like gossip!
Its not true.
Its also not true that going on a gluten free diet will help you lose weight. Some gluten free foods are higher in fats, carbs, sodium and calories.
Some gluten free foods may use food additives and harmful chemicals. Some manufacturers use the gluten free label as they do the organic label..........to mislead the public into believing they are buying their products for health benefits, which is untrue.
Manufacturers will also say something is organic or its gluten free, as if they have made sure to do this for the consumer......when they did nothing, because that product is naturally organic or naturally gluten free! Manufacturers prey on consumers all the time. They hire people to find a way to sell their products no matter what they must say.....they just have to be at the line of legality and not step over it.
So know what you are buying and using. Research. It's not hard and if a company is not transparent about their products and are hiding things under such terms as "fragrance" or "perfume" or "parfum" that is their secret chemical drop box area that they don't have to disclaim per the government regulations. This on top of words you can't pronounce (and not because they are latin either) are your harmful chemicals. Or they may say you must ask them personally for the ingredients........come on, give me a break! Be transparent or fix the problem and admit you aren't Organic or Gluten Free like you say!
Don't believe Manufacturers unscrupulous actions!
